i m finally done with kangaxx (thz tostaff of magi's spell trap)

i was discussing on a seperate thread with Nighthawk about Monk vs Berserker and he said a berserker with +4weapin and in enrage can tear demilich apart.

when i tried this(at least 10 times) with mins(and his simulacrumed copy) he always got imprisoned while in berserk mode.

now can anybody tell me,for sure, if berserk makes a warrior immune to imprisonment? i know it does for maze but now i m confused after Nighthawks post.

please post proven stuff, not assumptions..
thanx

well for sure, i always use spell mmunity - abjuration or protection from magic. they certainly works, and with mace of disruption+2, i killed the lich in the very first round. sweet Image

why should it? Doesn't berserk mode protect you from mind affecting spells? Not Abjurations?

Every time I've had a berserked fighter, he's been immune to imprisonment. I've never tried a barbarian, although I suspect you'd get the same effect.

A beskerkers "Enrage" protects against Imprisoment - haven't tried a barbarian so I don't know about him. Minsc' beserk ability IIRC do not protect agains imprisoment.

No, a berzerkers rage work, a barbarian, or Minsc wont work.

Try Korgan instead

Only *true berserker's* rage matters. For barbarian there is nothing about imprisonment in description, it is mentioned only for berserker. As for Minsc, he have innate ability, it comes from BG I (like as protagonist's holy might, and we all know there is some difference between it and the BG2 spell). So, in Minsc case i am not even sure if it helps against maze and other psionics.

i see..
then the konklusion is a true berserker protagonist or korgan can berserk to protect vs imprisonment, but minsc or a barbarian cannot..

thats all i need to know =]

Mielikki, with respect, I don't get a sense from the previous posts that anybody's saying one way or the other with 100% certainty on this. Your best bet may be to simply save the game, and put Minsc or Korgan in a situation where they're the recipient of the Imprisonment spell (or anything else you'd care to try on 'em).

I do not know, that is tre, but in the special ability section of the barbarian it is not mentioned it would protect from imprisonment, but it is in the berzerker ability list.

And i did try korgan out, as well as my main character, and that is how i could defeat the lich, they tanked him in turns, one winded and one enraged.
