For dualing you need 17 in wisdom and 15 in the rangers prime stats, not sure what they are.
I'd dual at lvl. 12 to get the to hit and damage bonuses and called shots.
I don't know whether you advance as priest or druid so you may not reach the highest cleric level.
Just don't forget you won't be able to use the bow.

rangers can be dualed, cos i am using ranger/cleric at the moment. better to have wisdom and ex at 18.
but i am a bit concern about the ranged weapon issue cos cleric can only use sling... thus archer/cleric might not be a very good idea, i might be worng

1. A ranger of any type can be dualled to a cleric.
2. If I uderstand well, the prime stat for a ranger is CON. This means that you will need CON 15 WIS 17. I suggerst STR = CON = DEX = WIS = 18
.
3. I don't think an Archer is a good choice. Well, you get the Called Shot ability and the ability should work with slings, too. But you lose the ability to wear a good armor. Also, an archer has limitations on non-bow proficienies. I suggest pure_ranger/CLERIC. This allows you to wear armor and train your character in 2 weapons (mace, flail, later warhammer).

You need 15 str & con and 17 Wisdom.
Archer/cleric is not a bad combo, besides the leather armour restriction (can use shadow dragon scale though).

With the ranger/cleric combo, can't you use druid weapons? Archers are great with darts!
No joke! Great rate of fire and you get Str. bonuses for thrown weapons.

Archer/Cleric - one more advantage : Cleric+Druid spells (More spell slots if you duel earlier)

How about dualling the Archer to a Mage with the Archerkit of "tactics"? Would a dualled archer at level 9 be better than a pure archer on high levels? Level 30 would give +10 damage/hit if you are a pure archer. A dualed archer would only have +3 damage/to hit but would be able to use massive spell power!
What would you do?
