I have finished the game with a mage, and I want to try a sorceror. If I use shadowkeeper to change the mage to a sorcerer, is that cheating?

No, you are just saving the trouble of starting the whole thing again.
That is my defenition of "cheating" in this case since you asked it.

Why bother? If you're done the game, start again from the beginning. Hacking a mage into a sorc could also be misleading / terminal, because of the different ways that the spellbooks work.

And, if you're interested, I'm pretty sure that a hack like that is minor cheating.

Although, I'm always tempted to hack Edwin into a sorc; it seems to be a more appropriate class for him.

A better way would probably be to move the saved game to multiplayer save, empty the mage's inventory, delete him, create a sorceror and finally use the ShadowKeeper to put your new sorceror up to the level of choise.

If you do that then you would have one heck of a sorceror. You would have all the spells your mage had and the sorcerors casting ability.

why do you ask if it is cheating T'Challa?
