Hello all,

I can't wait to take my monk and see where he goes from here. 78%? I believe, mag res after the end game. Can't wait until that hits 100+%. Yes I know there are ways to lower it. Also he should have 7.5 or 8 attacks a round if they keep the kit rules. Anyway a monk is my favorite tank class. Stealth into the room, find the big bad mage. My mage casts web in room from distance Monk is ok from mag res and ring of free action. Monk starts choping, My mage casts cloud kill or similar spell in room. Enemies are focused on my monk. My mage from distance casts... oh, most everyone is dead... Lunch? anyone?

I'd like to see your Monk take on a single wizard with absolute Immunity. :D

I agree Monks are very cool indeed. They lack something, but I don't know what.....I think they lack spells. Nearlly everyone I know loves to cast spells with their main character.....Oh yeah....some spells dont take magic resistance into account...I.E.All the 10th level Wizard spells. :p

Besides, a level 31 wizard in ToB casting 'Lower Resistance' would reduce you magic resistance by around 70%!! :p :p :p

Ok,

On a one to one fight a level 31 monk with say? at least 6 attacks a round. Charges a mage who first round casts lower res by 70%. Now one on one good changce the mage will live to see another day. Then again with my back up mage casting breach and at 31 slinging that nice lovely 9th level protection removal spell. think he'll last past the second round taking 17hp min each hit? Then again who knows you can have a back up fighter with you too. :)

Well I've never experienced 10th lvl spells my whole pen and paper life, so what is is :)

Ok but your magic resistance is going to be capped at like 65% or something.

Well then my monk and Palidin go have a beer at the closest pub and brag about how easy we kicked those two stupid mages asses. :)

Then again my mage might go invis and run, my monk might go stealth, rethink the whole... Naahhh they just go have a beer and brag about how they kicked the two mages, butts. :)

yeah...but if the monk's mr is capped @ 65, add a ring of gaxx, etc, and you can probably come up with 35 more.

Monk goes stealth, quivering palm and the mage is no more.
