I'm soloing and have the Flail of Ages but can't use it. I tried to sell it but couldn't get the shop to accept it. Is this a bug or is there a story element that prevents me from selling the FoA?

It's considered a quest item so you can't sell it, but I don't think it makes much of a difference...it's possible that if you have it you see more Rakasha (as mentioned in the description).
