They should speak on your actions, if they are supposed (scripted) to.
Also there are standard phrases in their lexicon. So, if your rep. bounces one or another side, Jaheira start repeating her "I hope this is not the way ... balance.", it's because her favorite is the neutral position (between 8 and 12, IMHO).
Just MHO, though.

welcome fugazi always nice to "see" new faces (and old for that matter :) :D )

depending on there alignment it varies. take Korgan (evil) each time your rep. goes up from 12 he will remind you that he don't like this goddy goddy and Minsc (good) if you get under 9 (or so) Jaheria (true N) doesn't really care that much what you do. keep it around 12 and none will leave.

right, Jahera never leaves, but she is not content with rep. too high or too low. She is begining to grumble if you have gone far enough from 10 ( about 17-18, IMO, if you're good). Never have had the rep. 1 or 0, though. Is there anybody experienced such?
TIA,
L.

If your rep goes about 0 or 1 Jaheira says something like:"Continue this behaviour and we shall be at odds", and then she leaves, IIRC...

Sometimes they say something not connected with your reputation. In the dock disctrict i killed one of the seamen (it was an accident) and minsc continued saying (all game long):" This behaviour must not continue!!! Feel the burning stare of my hamster!!! And change your ways...."

Yes, since they are created by yourself they have no scripts...

if you haven't made one yourself, they shouldnt disagree. IMHO, universal standard scrips have nothing to do with it, they determine only behaviour during battle or so. You may make one yourself, of course, i believe there is possibiliy of checking out how your alignment lives with your reputation, though i'm not sure. It would be interesting script, for example, if fallen paladin would have to lay hands on himself after the fall ;) Though do not know if it's possible.
