In the Copper Coronet, after I got rid of the slavers and guards, in the rectangular corridor between the inn itself and the entrance to the jail area, there was a small skull floating above the body of one of the dead tavern guards. Has anyone seen this before, anywhere? Does anyone know what it is?

It was not a skull trap spell because I searched the body with no problem, nor was it anything I could talk to or interact with. It was just a little skull floating in mid-air above this guard's body.

I think its a bug, I ran into something similar in the underdark as after a battel with one of the imprisoned poeple. It must have been the way I killed him but there was like a piece of him floating htere spinning around I couldn't interact with it at all....I think I reloaded, very wierd

i'm with krimmy, except the piece of debris was also stuck in a loop of casting spells at me.
never saw a floatign skull though...maybe it was morte.

Haha..this happened to me too on my first run through the game - In the docks when the dude comes up to you and asks him to protect you from the 3 vamps..I killed them, and then a floating skull appeared over each corpse! I was freaked out that I had done something bad and that the skulls were gonna get me... *shudder*

Do any of you have Jan in your party because his master blaster crossbow bolts stun people with a picture of a skull. Maybe thats it, just a graphics glitch when the skull lingers when the person dies.

They are attributable to Jan. Those are the 'Bruiser Mates' that reach the target right as the target dies. They don't 'hit' so they don't explode. They just hang there.

Aha! Jan! Yes, he is in my party and may have been using his special ammo.

I was back at the CC a little while ago. That darn skull is -still- there, although all the dead bodies are long gone. Eerie.
