About cheating...

I now cheating isn´t a part of REAL BG2 playing. I used only ONE cheat because I play as a fighter and I wanted to get the Golden Lion Figurine, so I used cheats to get it.Well, what do you think about that? And my second question:
Which ones are better; scimitars or long swords?

for a fighter long swords and what cheating is concerned no more of that right now thank you, what ever you think is fine with me.
