High levels

Well, there have been discussion about speed solo. I would like a little chat about the another style.

So, i am still in Ch.6. Party :
prot. kensai 7/mage 19
Jahera fighter 14/druid 15
Aerie cleric 15/mage 14
Iomen mage 16
Nalia mage 19
Valygar ranger 12

I let Minsc (18 or 19) to rest for a while. I needed Valygar to gain access to Sphere. I'm on the first level still, though ready to go for demon now. Eventually ready to go for demilich, not tried still, though. Bodhi isn't fight for second time, too. Skipped some quests, so i never had Viconia, Anomen, Keldorn, Edwin, Cernd, Haer'Dalis, Korgan in the party. Mazie a bit - to get her back to Athala (boots! ;) ), then to Trademeet, where i left her and went back for Minsc with her blessings :)

Just have spent on it 259 days, hard tasks requires much resting... :D

Without cheating, if fiend summoning does not count, but even this only to get the level ripe when there are some 20,000 or so left(it means 120,000 in total for full party).

Development strategy was quite simple ;) First do the hardest possible quests. Then, if your party is high enough, you'll get matching opponents for other actions - with more XP altogether. Use dungeons what tend to refill if you leave the region. Windspear hills was the one. When you enter it, clean it from random monsters (without finishing two main quests), then wander a bit in other similar places and return raised in level, you get a new portion of monsters here. There is a room, for example, with two or three lesser shadows at the beginning. When i was there last time there were about a dozen of different sizes plus greater wolfwere (or even two?) ... ;)

I had gone for Iomen having level 14. I had never been in Umar Hills and Temple Ruins this time. Iomen, i met, was at level 12, as i recall.

I wonder what level my company will have at the final. There are not many quests left, though. To finish the Sphere, Kangaxx, what else not linear?

Has anybody similar results and xp to share?

TIA,
L.

Good point.
After my first game i tried doing the most difficult quest early to have a great match. Then i went to the bridge district to kill the rune assassin. In my first time it was one of the first quest i did. The second time, with higher exp. i also had to fight a bone golem. The same happened in the unseeing eye quest. I met more powerful monsters. This is a very good thing. I also tried to play at higher difficult lvl, but there's no real difference (exept for the spell memorization). Fortunately the AI recognize your lvl and give you opponents of an adequate lvl.

Of course, never loved it. I prefer long an steady game and, most often, i hit the cap in the middle of the game. There is some reward, though. For example i had to kill 4 liches in the Temple Ruins (i went there after Underdark).
BTW, i know Irenicus in Hell will be 30 level mage ... ;)
May your Protections from Evil never wear out,
