My problem occured on the mission: Find proof of Mae'Var's treachery.
I killed one of the cowled wizards in his house at the docks district. I got the assignment from Edwin (mage). When I went for the exit Arie said to Anomen that she was afraid of him and after that he went crazy and tried to kill her. Luckily other characters blocked Anomen's way and I was able to control him and made him walk of the building alone (he was not red yet). Then I took all characters and pointed to the exit.
Then the problem occured:
Aerie seems to have trouble moving. I will assign a destination, and she will move 2 or 3 steps before stopping, and I have to reassing the destination. Sometime (rarely) she will move the whole distance.
I tried everything but nothing seems to work, not even an reinstallation. There are more people than me that seem to have this problem, could anyone please help us! I copied an earlier message-discussion that was related to this problem.
THANKS

Here is the problem, starting with leading up to it. I entered the sewers in Athkatla to free Haer'Dalis and do some exploration. After saving Haer'Dalis I defeated that party of 6 that demanded 1000 gold. I then proceeded to enter the Illithid lair. After entering, I killed off all but one of the mind controlled humans in the first room. After this Anomen attacked Aerie( something about his failed test). Instead of doing something drastic, I simply moved him a good distance from Aerie so he could cool his blood. I then proceeded to eliminate the rest of the first room. After That, I took out the entire second room of illithids then rested before proceeding to attack the final room. The problem started after this rest Aerie seems to have trouble moving. I will assign a destination, and she will move 2 or 3 steps before stopping, and I have to reassing the destination. Sometime(rarely) she will move the whole distance. I also discovered that if she is nowhere near where I am viewing she will move the whole distance. I tried to move to a different area, tried reloading, tried restarting BG2 then my comp, and tried moving to an area with open air. I lived with the problem through chapter 4, at which point, I reinstalled the game. This time full install- same problem. If I load a save from early in the game, she moves fine. This is an extremely annoying little glich. She cannot use quick items, and about 10% of the time she will just stop casting spells. It makes the game very difficult to play, and I am tempted to kick her out ( which I tried, thinking I could bring her back in...but I cant talk to her If I kick her out)
Please save me!

I had the same problem and ended up having to dump her from the party. I think the problem started after Anomen went crazy.

Hrmmm, it seems like a bug in the game if other people have experienced it. I sent this message to Interplay, and got some generic DirectX email back. Damn customer service lazy bums. Perhaps they will fix it in the next patch, because Aerie rocks in my opinion. I turned off the AI completely, and no change. So, looks like a bug that Interplay wont bother to listen to. Tmac....try sending an email to Interplay so that we can get their attention
