Anyone else notice the inconsistency having to do with the Druid Quest, specifically the Cernd/Faldorn battle?

The first time I played, I did not take Cernd into my party. When I met Faldorn and Cernd challenged her, Cernd really kicked her ass. It wasn't even close! He polymorphed into a werewolf, took about three swipes and killed her without taking a scratch.

The next time I took Cernd into my party, but this time when he challenged her the fight (which I controlled) was MUCH more difficult.

I polymorphed into the werewolf and went toe to toe with Fladorn and the fight was pretty even, until Faldorn gets badly hurt, then she polymorphs into a black panther (as uninjured) and starts really beating on Cernd!

The only way I could beat her was have my character (Keyser Soze..sorry not very creative with original names), walk over and pass healing items to Cernd.

Also, I noticed that once Cernd fights Faldorn he is immediately stripped of all his equipment, and I cant find it???

The equipment is dropped exactly where your character is removed from, should be just in front of the throne.

I found the easiest way to kill her was to create several animal in front of her and scurry around letting them do most of the damage and finishing her off with poison and any other offensive spells i could conjure.

Faldorn morphing into a panther is random.

When she's near death, she'll morph into the panther, but if you score huge hits, then you'll kill her before she gets to the low point and morph, so it's all luck.

I've tried this with Jaheira, same thing, once she morphed, and two other times she was just downright killed.

Before fight whit Faldorn I cast improved invisiblity on Jaheira ,then go whit her to arena and cast flame blade. Faldorn just stay here ,do nothing and take damage (and die ).
