A few questions.

Firstly, do strength bonuses improve missle weapons (Bows, crossbows, throwing axes etc.)

Second, are spells such as Greater Malison and Doom cumulative.

Finally, some NPC's in my game are unable to be talked to, when clicked on, the "You can not initiate dialog. Bernard appears busy." message appears, this can sometimes be solved (temporarily) by leaving and returning to the area, but is incredibly frustrating. Is there any way to fix this bug, or a way to "clone" NPC's using CLUA console?

1. Strength is a factor while using slings and throwing weapons. While using bows strength doesn't matter (although there are bows you can't use if your strength isn't high enough).
2. Both spells have different effects. You can use 'em at the same time though, they don't cancel each other out.
3. Sometimes there's an in-game reason for the appear-busy thing, like when you've offended an NPC he/she might not want to talk to you. But if this happens often I should say yeah it's a bug and :( I've no idea how to fix it.

1. Darn :/
2. Greater Malison makes enemies save with a -4 penalty, and doom makes their saving throws -1, so how does this work?
With a spell like Chromatic orb which has +6 to save against it, would greater malison mean the enemy has +2 save against it, or -4 against it?
3. No, it's definitely a bug :(

Are you running Windows XP? I just got baldur's gate 2 on my new computer with windows XP and the exact same horribly annoying problem....there is a patch to fix it and a lot of other stuff on the bioware site!
