Anyone else find it odd that...

If you go to rescue imoen the second you get 15k you will get brutally slaughtered by everything you have to fight on your way back to civilization? (Level 9-10s, verse a Balor? LOL!)

Some love it for the challenge though
.....
You should always try to finish as many quests as possible before leaving for Spellhold because:
1.you'll get slaughtered as said before
2.doing the quests after returning from the Underdark will also likely get you slaughtere
(ie.finding liches where there shouldn't be any
)

@ Giles - did you really try this? I was thinking about trying a "fast" game, but was worried about that whole underdark bit.

Yah, I almost did, but when I got 15k, I realized My chars (a 4 member party) had like 250k each, and I almost bit it helping that one shadow thief against 3 vampires ; (
Additions:
What happens to the WindSpear hills dungeon and Nalia's keep after UnderDark? I was gonna leave Umar Hills (Lich hunting!) but needed those suits of armour for my Bounty Hunter and Barbarian : (

I've read a post somewhere which said that there will be Adamantite Golems instead of Iron Golems
