Ok, so I've got two problems/questions which are probably not that important, but I am still very annoyed by them. So here comes:
1. I've got Vhailor's helm, which SHOULD cast simulacrum once a day, but when I try to make it do that, the person who's wearing the helm just saves vs death! What is going on???
2. I'd very much like to know how often fighters get weapon profiency points? Every two levels? What about dual-classed C/F?

1) Did you get the patch?If not,then that's probably the cause of your problem.

2)Fighters start at lvl 1 with 4 proficiency points,and gain another one for every 3 levels afterwards,(i.e at lvl 9 they would have 7 proficiency points).The same thing applies for Fighter/Clerics,which means they also get 4 proficiency points at lvl 1,but afterwards they ONLY get points for every 3 levels of the Fighter class,meaning of you're a lvl 6/6 Fighter/Cleric you'll have 6 proficiency points.

@RA I think that the official Bioware BG2 [url="http://www.bioware.com/bgate2/bg2patch.shtml"]patch[/url] corrects this problem,although it's not stated in the patch readme.
