I know this may sound stupid, but who do you think will be the first on this forum to beat ToB?
I personally think it will be Riverwind, since he seems to come up with all the cool strategies and stuff.

I imagine it will be someone with a lot of free time who doesn't do Watcher's Keep first. I doubt any addict is going to have much trouble with any of the non-optional fights.

I’m going to take my time and try to acquire every little thing (from items to encounters). Slow and steady... ;)

Kayless: Yes, but do you really NEED all the items? In the end, all that will matter was the time spend with good friends in the nearby tavern, not all those pesky dungeons ;) :D

(I'm just teasing, I think it's cool to get all the items, but just not for impatient girls like me) :)

Nobody. Didn't you guys know they are going to make the game imposible to beat just to make us mad. Serevok is going to come back with a vengance.
PC- "I'm a level 100 mage you can never hurt me little brother."
Serevok- "Oh, well then I guess this scroll of instant death with no save is useless then ."
PC- "Uuuuuum, Yep it sure is."
Serevok- "Well then you don't care if I read it do you."

kensairyu seems to spend an awful lot of time playing and figuring out strategies so maybe him. but i imagine i'll be in the top few to finish...i have quite a bit of free time...i just have to decide between sunning at the pool or locked in a dark room staring endlessly at a computer screen.

Well I'm not going to be in a hurry to finish.

For me to enjoy the game I have to take my time, later on like some of the people here maybe I'll challenge myself a bit more but not the first time through.

Ah, when I get it, I'll have imported my new BG I character I'm working on, then go through BG II and ToB at an easy pace, doing all the quests and such, so it definately won't be me.

Me neither,I like to take my time and explore the whole in-game world, that's what I allways do in CRPGs,on my first run.

The hunt is sometimes more gratifying then the feast. And I'll not rest until there's nothing left to hunt for. ;)

I imagine it will be somebody who uses sk or ctrl-y or something to cheat his/her way through.

but all they will be able to do is tell you what happens at the end, since they didnt do anything legit
my mage is going to be very pwerful when he reaches lv.20, because he scribed all the level 9 spell scrolls he could get his hands on :D

This is also the way I play when I have the time, unfortunetly I will not have the time to play TOB like this when it first comes out, so I am going to go through JUST THIS ONCE (the first time) with a power party and beat it quick like.

I need to beat it fast the first time to guarantee their will be no problems with my add-ons I am implementing for TOB.

I am not for caring who beats it first as thats not important thats why I WILL BE THE FIRST TO BEAT IT!

(just kidding )

I cant wait to see what suprises they have in store for us and I especially can't wait to see the new AI David Gaider bragged about on bg scripts awhile back.

Also my party for TOB looks like this Main -Gnome Fighter/illusionist, Dwarf Kensai, dwarf Fighter/cleric, Sorceror. I am forgoing a NPC party for the first run in order to have more firepower.

The first member to finish Throne of Bhaal is ofcourse going to be Buck He will most likely have the walkthrough finished by the time that the game hits the stores. :)

Well it won't be me, I'll restart the game like 75+ times before completing it once, at least that was my experience with BG1 + BG2

But when I hear the game is nearing Denmark, I'll start BG1 and play through with the same characther, just don't know the class yet :)
