Me i would be...

str 15
dex 11
con 17
int 18
wis 14
cha 06

Ok, first of all, I sincerely doubt either of you has an Intelligence of 18. No offense intended, but that is super-genius level, and maybe one person in a million has that. The normal intelligence would be around 12-13, maybe 14 if you're pretty sharp, but 18? Improbable at best, not a chance at worst. The same goes with other stats. Imagine Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan; their dexterity would be around 18. Maybe Arnold, in his prime, would have had a near 18 strength. Remember, 18 is the highest possible one can ever attain (without the help of magic, which obviously doesn't come into play here).

in the old player's manual there were charts to determine strength based on bench press. if someone could find that chart, i could at least say for sure what my strength is. i am willign to bet it is 18, probably not 18(00) though. i scored genius on my IQ test, so i would put myself at around 16, i'll leave 18 to stephen hawking.
so...
fighter/mage
str-18
dex-10
con-11
int-16
wis-15
chr-10

OK the intelligence is off. I am in the gifted program in my high school at this time (IQ required 130, i Got 145). IQ does not change that much though im sure it does go up a few points over time.
I went with strength based upon the backpack weight in bg2, dex i based upon my reflexes, hand-eye coordination, balance, and stealth (im heavy on my feet).
Constitution i suppose is based upon the ability to survive and resist pain, im strong in that area. Intelligence ya im smart maybe not 18 though, possibly 15.
Charisma was based upon my personality (im kinda the quiet type),not the best with people i suppose, so 6 fits well.
Wisdom i think is common sense more or less and i have a good share of that so my revised stats
str 15
dex 11
con 16
int 15
wis 14
cha 06

Being the modest person that I am -no offense, but I think you ppl are buffin yourselves up!- my stats are in NO way going to be great!
@Nael> I scored Gifted on my IQ test. Does that count as Genius?
Str 9 (hey, I'm only thirteen and not one of those pro-athletes!)
Dex 13
Con 9
Int 14
Wis 10
Cha 11

I would argue that just about anyone who plays these games would tend to have slightly above average int. - ability to understand abstract concepts, manipulate multiple characters, rules, spells, imagination, fantasy, etc.
Now, wisdom on the other hand, how wise is it to sit around all day playing computer games and posting on these boards? There's a whole world out there to explore! Yet here I am.... (j/k)

Well,I on my first run like to play the game as a "Goodie",second time as the mean ol' Bad A$$,but my personal preference and pretty close to reality stats would be...
Name: aVENGER
Gender: Male (well, what did ya think?)
Race: Elf (I'm 193cm high

)
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (a natural fit

+ the alignment test confirmed that)
Class: Sorcerer (yes,yes,I am lazy

)
Ability Scores:
STR 12
DEX 15
CON 13
INT 17
WIS 14
CHA 9
I just realized, that I would never have the necessary patience to set/disarm traps or pick any locks,so instead of a thief,I choose my second favorite AD&D class, the lazy mage who doesn't have to learn or memorize anything,as all his abilities are innate...the Sorcerer

Gnome Illusionist
Str 7
Dex 11
Con 7
Int 18
Wis 12
Cha 11
Wis and Cha are somewhat arbitrary, since I'm not really clear on what they are. Or con either--is it health? Ability to survive getting stuffed with arrows or hit with a mace?
I'm going more by the Torment descriptions in terms of 9 to 12(?) == average, thus the "low" scores for con and str simply mean well below average, not wasting away or anything.
I took an AD&D alignment test at http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=dnd/dx20001222b and, answering honestly, wound up Neutral.
I'd definitely be a gnome. And--admit it--so would a lot of you.

@moriveth I doubt you'd be a gnome,except if you're less then 1m high

as gnomes are even smaller than dwarves, and they should be arround 120cm or something?

Are your ears pointy, aVENGER2k?
I mean that, personality-wise, I'm uncomfortably close to the stereotypical gnome. Certainly closer than to that of an elf or dwarf...

Well, I guess I'l also join in on the fun, and try not to be a hypocrit.
Race: Human (obviously)
Class: Fighter of Monk (due to my martial arts training)
Abilities:
Strength--9 (Nothing special here)
Dexterity--15 (Amazing reflexes, etc.)
Constitution--9 (Normal, once again)
Intelligence--15 (IQ a little over 140)
Wisdom--11 (I've been told I'm pretty wise)
Charisma--8 (Lower side of average)
