I would like to know how many boots of haste do u can get in the whole game ? And where ?

I got two, but there may be more; one in the Planar prison, one in the Asylum from the token-machine...

Apparently, the dude that wants to kill Aran Linvail has a pair as well.

theres a pair in the planar prison too

I also get those two, but " guy that wants to kill aran linvail " where can i find him ?

humm , @ gamebanshee it is said that Renal Bloodscalp has one pair !!! BUT i never was able to fight him, do you ?

you can fight renal if you side with Bodhi.

Yes, Renal has the boots, but I think he is unfightable at least as long as you don't do anything out of line.

Yes i sided bohdi, then i got that quest of that box of merchandise to bohdi, then we can choose our way, and I tested both ways, none of the paths leaded me to a fight with Renal. I never see him again after siding with bohdi...I only can fight with Arial Linvail.And I think that the guy from the other guild does not have boots of haste

When I sided with Bodhi, first thing I wanted to do was to go and kill Bloodscalp for his stuff.
Well, he just wasn't there and I never saw him again.

Why you ****!

The Boots of Speed haste you, as in the spell Haste. Since Haste is a hell of a good spell, you'd be under a hell of a good effect. Walking faster than your enemies is always nice.
Take my advice, don't cheat like this...

You are entitled to your opinion, but so are Weasel and everyone else. No one said anything about the cheat here yet, and we have a thread regarding this as you know well. You are the one who seeks unnecessary attention, and provoke others.

If you want the third Pair of Boots from Renal Bloodscalp this is what you have to do.
Before you side with Bodhi you need to get a limited wish scroll (you can get from Adv mart) or a scroll of shapechange (random treasure). You also need either 6th level spell Prot from Magic Energy or Prot from Magic Weapons to cast on main Character (or u could use scroll of magic prot or Death Ward).
Set up around Renal. Before you attack him cast one of these spell on main character (Protection magic weapons, prot from Magic Energy, Protection from magic, or Death Ward). When you Attack him, Arkanis Gath will spawn, have whoever has limited wish scroll wish to change shape or use scroll of shapechange.Change into Mindflayer and Kill Arkanis Gath, then proceed to kill Renal.Now you have the third pair of boots. Note Shadow thieves will be hostile on sight after this i believe, so make sure you still have the option to join Bodhi, also u need to do this Before you do the Mae-var guild i believe or Bodhi wont side with you (not sure been awhile since i tried this).

I think he's the guy you find near the 'alternative/secret' thieves' guild entrance.

He has in fact tht ring of lockpicks +25% on him, not the boots of haste, in my experience.

I have to back Pope up on this : if you SK in boots of Speed for all your characters, that's a big cheat, no doubt about it at all.

Walking around might be faster, but fighting at 2X speed is a highly significant side-effect, eh?
