What road do you think they should go down with BG3, the inner city, horror angle of BG2 or the lush outdoors of BG1.
I personally preffered the indoors, having only played a small amount of D&D, which compares to true D&D the most?

What i meant was that BG has a certain amount of horror in it for instance the Intro, being sucked into Hell, torture etc.

Ahhhh I c...
Though I don't really have an opinion about that, only that I don't want the "horror angle"
I would like the possibility to return to Baldur's Gate in BGIII, and not only one "main town", but a few main towns...

Looking at the way my character is growing in power I'm starting to think that BG3 will be the last of the series if they put it out. It seems BG3 would end up with your character becoming a god.

Or maybe finally acheiving peace settling down with a lady having kids that kind of thing.

I have the feeling that NWN will be the last BG game (BGIII), why else should you be able to import your character from BGII??
Or is there anyone who has heard about a BGIII?

*Spoiler*
I was wondering about the same, because the ending is strange.Ok, Irenicus burnt in hell but what about those robed figures talking about the player character ? They are talking about future events,so I believe a BG3 is possible.Or maybe an expansion pack (like TOSC,though it did not change the ending of the original BG).What are your opinions?

Those robed guys are probably the guys from Candlekeep.
One time i exported my high level character into the start with loads of cool equipment and went around hacking up everybody in candlekeep, it was exceedingly amusing and i reccommend it to anyone
Maybe that is what is going to happen you never know.

Heh, hafta try that, hacking everyone in candlekeep into small chunks of "food". (yeye, call me psycho, but it was Sleep's idea, so blame him!
)
Back to the BGIII discussion though... I am quite sure that there will be an xp-pack, but I'm unsure if it will change the ending as you mentioned Bill.
But I thought about one thing... What if the men in the robes were the gods, now there's a thought, huh?

Sure these figures are,one way or another, involved with Bhaal.Perhaps they are some undercover priests of Bhaal (in a secret temple, since i haven't encounter any temple of Bhaal in BG1 and BG2-the final temple in BG1 is deserted,i mean a new, operating temple).
Maybe they try to restore the god.It sounds logical:in BG1 you fought an evil fighter (Sarevok),in BG2 an evil elven mage (Irenicus-btw since he has lost his soul, doesn't this make him some kind of undead or lich) so in BG3 you will have to fight evil priests having the support of Bhaal as well (imagine all these figures turned into Slayers or another Avatar form)

But i will beat them with my righteous skills, or i'll just use a fireball just out of their line of sight, whichever works best
