I was sent to kill some mage, by the mage in the Shadow Thieves guild. The problem is that I can´t make any damage to the golems on the target´s 2nd floor.

What´s the right 'answer' to whoop the asses of these two golems ?

Thanks in advance.

They're both stone golems, so just lay the hurt down with a couple of +2 weapons and magic missle and you should be good. My barbarian has two +2 or better swords, Minsc has the talking sword (which cracks me up every time it speaks) and Valgar also has two +2 or better swords. Those guys combined with a couple of magic missle worked like a charm.

It really depend on the golem. Some golems can only be hurt by blunt magical weapons.
So allways keep an arsenal of weapons (never know when some killer rabit will jump you and the only thing that can hurt it is feather......ehhehhe)

But golems should not be a problem in BG2 becuase your charaters are easily level 9 or 10 at the begining. I defeated 5 golems with only my main charecter without recieving damage (cavelier, with celestial fury and crom faer).
Beholders and Mindflayers are the monsters (aliens??) that could cause u trouble. But with some magical items and intelligent playing it should be really easy (and after a while really boring , as in the mindflayer and beholder dungeons)

Flayers are easy to defeat with chaotic commands and beserkers.

Once you have Crom Fayer Golems, trolls et al become easy to kill Image

The whole game boils down to equipment and how you use it - this one might relate to Bucks post about romances Image .

It's quite troublesome to hit those golems, and you'll need a weapon of +2 quality or more, and a couple of good fighters or a quick Priest to sustain their heavy damage.
Slap Haste or Improved Haste on your main warrior, get someone with an AC of somewhere around -4, and start delivering punishment. If you're still having problems, choosing the sleezy cheesy way - summon a couple of Fire elementals (Jaheira and Cernd can do it) and let them take the blows while you deal the damage.
