I'm in Baldur's Gate and I NEED HELP

2 things that i need:
i've completed the Orge in the sewers and got the ruby rings but i can't seem to find Scar. i've looked for him at the flaming fist barracks but he is no where to be found. i did talk to the duke (the guy upstairs) and he told me to find out about the iron throne but where is SCAR?????
also, i have a geas that needs to be removed. i've gotton the tome of wisdom from the priest and went to the ***** queen umberlee and killed her for the geas. i went to the Blade and Stars to find Lothander but he is no where to be found? i'm running out of time as the poison is going to kill me soon. where is Lothander? or am i missing something in the quest?
do i need to keep the thief gang alive? i've done the skyship quest and killed that mage in the thief guild. are there any more quests with those guys?

1) Scar will disappear. Just part of the game plot I think.
2) Lothander should be at the 2nd floor of the Blade&Stars
3) You can do some thief quests with Narlen Darwalk, and you will return here in Chapter seven. But you might as well kill em all.

is there a glitch?
i still can't seem to find Scar?
Lothander is still no where to be found on the 2nd floor of the Blade and Stars.

Go to the fair. Lothanders partner will advise you. then go to the 2nd floor looking for him.
Sorry bout Scar, but I dont remember it - long time since I've played BG (Turnips are so better, as SoA, and keep the pantaloons)
BTW, this is a spoiler.

lol i got lost a lot when i got to BG for the first time. Try to use ur journal.
priestess=temple
also read the signs and talk to the quest guys again n maybe theyll give u directions again. What chapter r u in? if in chapter 7 SPOILER (Scar will die so u have to see duke whatisname in the flamin fist)

Scar might be standing outside of the Flaming Fist Head Quarter.
About Lothander, it could be a bug. It can happen in this game, so make sure you have all patches installed.
Another possibility is, are you sure you have visited Blade&Stars? There are so many inns in the city, and can easily get confused. I know I did!

*bump*, same problem
Scar also disappeared in my game
After I talked to the merchant in the Seven Suns, i went to see him and got a part of the reward, and he said he'd give me more if i killed all the dopplegangers. I've done so, but Scar is nowhere to be found! Is this a bug?

Apparently this is a bug, so is there any way to let Scar appear? (via a console command or something similar)
Edit: i've read that Scar will disappear right after you talk with Duke Eltan, exactly what i did after talking to Scar the first time. Byebye to that extra 5000xp and 7000gold... One word: bugger. Why didn't gamebanshee mention this?
