Hello folks,

I'd like to say hallo to you! This is my first posting.

I have opened this accumulative thread so I make not too much of a mess here.

my questions:

In my party is a Furnok.
unfortunately he is badly overparted. I think that's why he makes more errors in shooting.
But he won't give any items away.
How can I make him to lower his baggage?

Thank you for your help.

solution

There's a couple ways you can fix this problem.
1. Before you recruit Furnok, talk to the innkeeper. He will let you stay at the inn for free if you catch Furnok cheating. Now go talk to Furnok, and play cards or dice with him until you catch him cheating. Talk to the innkeeper again for your free room. Finally, talk to Furnok again. If you recruit him after catching him, he won't loot at all, so he won't get too much stuff.
2. Get a scroll of raise dead (there's one in the bookcase in the church of St. Cuthbert). Let Furnok die in combat (or kill him yourself). Now take away all his stuff. Finally, have your cleric use the raise dead scroll on him (assuming you want him alive). Give him back only the stuff that you want him to have.

handling locks...

Hello folks,

isn't it possible to smash locks (doors, chests)?

I'm not able to open the boxes in the temple!

Thanks for your help!

If you have a wizard/sorceror with lvl 2 spell 'Knock' you will defeat ALL trapped chests/doors in the game.

The total traps are 7 or 9 i think, but some of the locks are very hard, with CR above 30, so unless you have a Rouge with high DEX and max Open/Disarm skills your safe bet is 'Knock'

'Knock' removes traps too, so it might save you some time, instead of waiting for the '20' roll on the die.

Save place in the temple?

Hello folks,

thanks for your help at first!

Now another question:

Isn't there any save place in the temple? I hate to always run back to nulb to recover.

Thanks in advance!

best wishes,

Micha

.

if you have cleared a level completely - and then rest you will get a few (not that dangerous) encounters first - but after these your chance to get full 8 hours of resting aren't that bad...

...and you can get som EXP for crafting that way...

How to raise my best fighter from the dead?

Hello again,

How can I raise my best fighter from the dead?

In the Church of St. Cuthbert it should be possibbe, but I don't get the option. Neither in Jaroo's Church (both in Hommlet).

My mages or druide cannot use any spell rolls (or I don't know how to use it).

I have fought a major battle and I have won it. And now it seens to me I have to do all the work again! It's awful! I'm desperate, since I haven't a savegame where my fighter is still alive. Only a savegame that is pretty much earlier in the game.

There must be a way to get him alive again, mustn't it?

best regards!

Micha
