Cleric & Fighter Stronghold questions:

How do I get the quests associated after I've acceted these strongholds?

Do people come up to me and talk, or do I need to "check in" every once in a while?

If I need to check in, how often should I stop by?

Um . . . well it depends. What class are you? The thief stronghold quests, for instance, you need to be in the building for. I think you get messengers from some of the other strongholds.

For the Fighter stronghold, it takes 1 or 2 weeks between quests (depending on which quest). There are some 'critical' problems where you'll get a messenger telling you to return, but most of the time you have to stop by to find out what's happening.

For the Cleric, it takes 24 hours between quests, and again you have to stop by yourself.

I'm both a Berserker and a Cleric (dualled at level 13).

I've got both strongholds (with a little help from Shadowkeeper).

Thanks for the help.

Spoiler! :
For the Cleric Stronghold, you'll have to encouter 3 or 4 person who have problems and give them an advice. Every 24h there's a new guy that wait for you, so just rest -> meet -> rest -> meet, etc.

I don't know if I'm clear enough (English isn't my native language, sry)

I'm not sure if I'm right or not but i don't think you can get a stronghold if you are multiclassed or dual-classed, that might be your problem but if anyone would like to prove me wrong please do. :)

Of course you can acquire a stronghold with a multiclassed/dual-classed character.
You get whatever related quest you do first (or you decline one stronghold to get the other). There are some bugs with the stongholds, however: Cleric/Rangers are not recognised for the cleric stronghold, and multi/dual classed mages or fighters can get more than one stronghold under certain conditions. These bugs are fixed by the baldurdash fixpack and by certain mods.

Well said Glenfar. I think (but I haven't played as a fighter for a while), that the first fighter quest happens when you stop by. The cleric (while yeah, I think that the advice thing is right), depends on whether you're a cleric of lathander, of talos, etc., or, if you didn't choose a kit, then it depends on your alignment, I think. (Lathander is for good clerics, etc.) So you have to give advice to people that fits your alignment based temple.

Right.

I've played a Cleric of Helm and I can tell you that you really MUST fit your religion. That's harder when you're neutral because you can have choices like this (Spoiler, Highlight to read it)

Women : "I don't know if I really believe in Helm"
- "What?! You'll die for this!!! Don't betray Helm!!!"
- "Well, I guess you should take a while and think about it"
- "What?! Go away, we only want faithful people in the church of Helm"

In this case, even if you think this poor woman should take a while to think about "Is Helm a true god or not?", you have to kick her out of the church for being a non-believer.

If you didn't choose a kit, I think you can be with a god like Waukeen or another one... Let's see if someone can confirm or infirm what I'm saying.

I don't think so. I think you have to join one of the temples in the temple district. But I could be wrong. Isn't the only temple of Waukeen in trademeet?

there is another one somewhere but i cant for the life of me think where. but you can only get a stronghold in the temples of lathander, helm and talos
