This is a stupid question but I don't know how to use skills except those which are shown in the down-middle menu when I click on that key icon. I realy don't know how to use for example pick lock, and I have upgraded my pick lock skill. plz help.

some skills require items. In the case of picklocks you need lock picking tools or autoskeleton keys, etc.. Anyways you drag the item down to the quick slot and whenever you want to open something locked just left click on the quick item and click on the target. Personally I use unlocking cantrip and harrow.

Using lockpick

Put item to use like a trap you need in one option in a item slot like a potion. Press the hotkiey and the mouse icon changes to indicate a specific action.

And because you asked the above question...

It is obvious that the next question will be "Where do I get lockpicks". The answer is as follows: either at the beginning at the "buy initial inventory" screen, or elsewhere in the game, but never in any stores that I have found.

Trash cans in Tarant have LOTS of lockpicks, especially near the black market. I guess the thieves' underground likes to keep hidden caches of emergency supplies. ^_^

Using lockpick

You can buy lockpicks during the setup for a new game or a set is in Wolf Cave. They are also option items found in any barrel or box you click to open.

To use a lockpick drag it down into any slot like slot 6. When you want to use it press 6 and click on what you want to open. The same technique is used to apply gernades, dinamite, potions, etc.

If your character is a mage, learn unlocking cangrip. It's very effective when your magic/tech meter is near 100 percent magic.

i take picklocks from wolfs cave ant tried to unlock container but then i did it it said" the container is jammed" what it means >pf.. so how to unlock this contained ?

Using lockpicks

Lockpick ability depends on your lock pick skill. Some lockpicks have a +5 skill bonus. These are necessary early in the game. The picks in Wolf cave have the plus five but you have to work for them. To gain pick ability you must apply points to the lockpick skill. Getting master lockpick is an adventure in itself.

Jamming occures so you can't open a lock using probabilites. Do something else for a while and try again.

If you feel you must open the lock try a stick of dinamite. Dinamite can be found in the cave at the crashsite and some of the optional sites between Black Root and Dernholm.
