Have you ever wondered why they didn't show Bastila and your character kissing? Why did it go black do you think?

One word: Rating.

The game doesn't have blood or gore for the exact same reason. This way the game can be sold to many more potential customers than if it had a "Mature" rating.

Doesn't really matter either way. Kissing never ever looks good computer animated games.

It sure doesn't.. Remember in Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast when Kyle and Jan kissed? Ugly pugly..
