Based on a couple of current threads, some of them *shiver* serious, I thought I would take Mah up on his suggestion about a place dedicated to newbies and the SYMers that love them.

After intense negotiation with Buck (I'll spare you the grueling details but, yes, it did require an intervention on the part of Weasel), he has agreed to open the checkbook and let the good times roll! This means there is an unlimited budget for decorating, electronic (and other) toys, and any form and quantity of libation you might require. There is a chef on call for the grill in the back if you have an appetite (or stop over at DW’s BBQ if you are really itchin’ to be grilled – you’ll have to bring your own sauce though ). You will need someone with higher constitution and charisma scores than me to run the bar, however, since I can't get the my walker back there.

Of course, the Shack isn't only for newbies or those who are newbies at heart. More experienced members are certainly welcome to pull up chair, relax, and hang out... perhaps to reminisce about newbie days gone by or to shake your head good-naturedly at cute newbie antics.

So the sky is the limit... please create this space as you like and enjoy it as you desire.

I got enough work ignoring patrons in my own bar, I ain;t got time to branch out. Besides, I think they should be self sufficient. I'll just sit over here and let them all gaze at me in wonder and admiration and dream of the day they can be just like me.....

I always thought of you as being the more saucy one in the group... Gwally and I are more what I would call "rakish".

Strange... newbies retreating to bed never stopped you in the past. We may need to resurrect the House of Depravity so that they can experience the real you.
