post-Abazigal (spoiler...?), BUG!

I have killed of Abazigal, and have read somewhere that Elminster is supposed to meet me outside to give me some info on who to talk too, but he never shows up... so now I'm stuck, and I don't have a save game before Abazigal, because I didn't know this was a problem until some time after.
plz help!!

well..
Sometimes he appears, and sometimes not. If you've defeated both Sendai and Abazigal, you should go and see Balthazar. You will gain entrance through the smugglers in Amkethran. Go and talk to Saemon.

Elminster only appears when there's no-one but Baltazar left, so he only meets you on the steps outside Abazigal's pad if you left dragon-boy for last. Otherwise he meets you outside Sendai's enclave.
