I played BG a while ago when it first came out and recently decided I wanted to play it again so bought a copy from EBay

I was playing, doing okay, but on the way to Nashkell, I am just about to enter area 4300 and I get a runtime error, something about an abnormal program termination. I have tried getting to area 4300 from other areas (not just area 3800) but I get the same crash. I suspect I have a dirty or scratched disc (I can't see any obvious scratches). Has anyone had anything similar happen??

Uninstall and do a clean reinstall. That should help. It's like that area doesn't exist when the game goes to look for it or something.
