So I was playing a new dwarf char I made, I killed something, and leveled up. I went to the character screen (accidently pushing something else as well) and my character's name became Chicken for 3 sec, all his stats were 1, and then he went back to normal. After I leveled and continued on my way, I got to the world map. Even since the chicken incident, my guy gets a random battle on the world map every coordinate he moves (+1 x = new fight, +1 y = new fight, etc)... Has anyone seen this happen before or is it just a freak accident?

I've never seen this but I suspect the game designer put this in to rattle the inexperienced a little. Don't worry about it if nothing else happens.

Don't worry about it? This guy just said that he has to fight a random battle every time his XY coordinates change. That's a big problem. His leveling might shoot up, but his patience with the game will nosedive.

Have no clue what the origin of the problem could be, but maybe reinstalling would solve it...?
