hey i used to play nwn back in the good ol days but stopped because my dad(im only 12)had to reload comp and woulnt install nwn.my dad recently copied the nwn discs including hotu and also copied a patch that would let me play nwn on another comp.the problem is that when i extracted the files from the patch to the nwn main directory it still wouldnt play. might this be becaause the patch version is lower than hotu?
thx

Hard to say what could be the problem without a more specific error message.
There is differences between the patches for the original NwN and NwN with HotU installed. Try downloading the latest patch (1.62) for HotU and install that.
Possible take a look at the patch page at the Bioware NwN site.
Also, there can likely be a problem with back-up copies of the game, so try playing from the original discs instead of a back-up. Could be problems with some security meassures.
But other then this, it is hard to say what the problem could be.

I may have a solution.
If your trying to get your save games to another computer just get a blank disk, right click on Local Drive C go to NWN, click nwm, go to saves, click edit select all, right click copy, then go down to the drive with the blank disk open it up and click paste. It should say files waiting to be written. If it does go to file and click write. hope this helps
