To clear your cache, just go to the cache folder in your Icewind Dale II directory. If you left it at default, it should be C:/Program Files/Black Isle/Icewind Dale II/cache/. Just delete all the files in there. However, if you do this, your load times will probably be slower until you re-cache. I'd try increasing the size. Make it 800 MB or so to be safe (Mine is 2 GB because I have a 120 GB drive) via the Icewind Dale II config program.

Thanks. Should that stop the program closing itself?

I'm not sure why I thought the cache was the reason, its either because it is and I just can't remember, or it isn't and my mind is playing tricks.

It might. Another good thing to try is to press ctrl-alt-delete and bring up the task manager. Make sure you are only running tasks that are absolutely necessary. If you are using Windows 95, 98 or Me, you only need Explorer and Systray running. If Windows 2000 or XP, you can have as few as ~14 running processes and still have a fully stable system.
