Where do you get the severed nord leg?How?I asked my brother,who has it,and he says nothing!

It's part of a quest in Thirsk. You'll get it eventually.

a more detailed explanation is this: after you get to a certain point in the main quest (1 quest after the lake catches on fire) you can go to thirsk and WOW! everybody is dead! apparently they were attacked by a vicious beast when they were all stone drunk, which is to say any part of any given day. the remaining lady will tell you it was an uferdyke, and you need to kill it. so you kill it, after it tries to pummel you with a ripped and bloody leg. i have a lways wondered how the smiths manage to repair it...
