i've finished all the quests in chapter 2 apart from kangaxx and the twisted rune.

my character is a level 13 fighter, 13 mage and 14 cleric. i hit the shade lich earlier and he basically pounded me. even with death ward, spell immunity and my cleric buffs, he wiped me out while being uninjured himself. i need a spell that isnt breach that affect combat protections.

actually, if you can't find any way to beat him, i once took him out in a kind of cheesy way.
I paused just at the moment he appears, BEFORE he begins to talk. I hit him very quick, and then he didn't do anything ?!? He just stood there and didn't talk or anything. So he was quite easy

Or, go grab daystar and use sunray on him, instant wipe out for his minions to... after that, whack him with day star for the added bonuses in thac0/damage to undead.

Try dispell with Keldorn.

I think he's soloing... right? You should try using Protection From Undead
Get a few of theses scrolls (Scroll Merchant in the Waukeen Promenade, the Lady in the Adventurer Mart, etc.). It doesn't last for *too* long, but it's enough to kill Kangaax & cie

and yes i am soloing, nor can i use the daystar.

do you have death fog in your spell book?

death fog's a lvl.6 spell so you should be able to cast it. give it a try if you have it; it basically does to liches what cloudkill does to mages => spell disruption!!! hope this helps

prot undead should clear it for you unless you are playing improved in which case you need to wait anyways.
