SoA and ToB

I have a question that maybe sound a little stupid?
But anyway...
I have BG2 SoA and ToB. But I have only installed SoA.
What would be best (possible):
1. First play SoA and later install ToB, or
2. Install both SoA and ToB??

Install 'em both. ToB patches SoA (though you'll still want to download the latest patch for ToB). In addition, ToB provides a few additional areas that actually show up in SoA, as well as a new class, the Wild Mage, which is fun.

And dont forget the tab button.
With ToB installed all loot/doors/containers will light up!

Ok QUestion???
What are the pro's and com's to installing ToB befor finishing SoA.?
What overlaps? I have both games but I thought that ToB was an indapendent game of SoA.

Pros: New class, new area, higher expcap, tab-highlite, new items that you normally only get in ToB.
Cons: None
There is an optional area called Watcherskeep that is accesible in both SoA and ToB.
I cant think of a good reason NOT to install ToB before finishing SoA

Don't forget to visit Watcher's Keep fairly early in your SoA game. You probably shouldn't enter the dungeon because the monsters have to be "scaled down" and you could lose some nifty items (they will warn you that you "might not be powerful enough" or some such). Still, once the zone is in place, there is a merchant that sells a potion case (not available in SoA anywhere) for a couple of hundred gold.
There are some looted items in the first level that could save you from some grief in SoA - but SoA wasn't designed with them in mind, and you can get along fine without 'em.

Ya, you can easily get a Quiver of Plenty really quickly by the start of SoA. Unlimited +1 ammo can be quite nice for a beginner

the ONLY advantage to not installing ToB with SoA is to keep game balance.
you can quite easily be getting HLAs and powerful weapons (from WK) by the time you get to the elven city (especially with lower numbers in party members) thus making the last fights with Irenicus a bit of a breeze, but whatever floats your boat eh?
