a question on spell immunities

How do I protect myself against the effects of Web, hold Person and Stun by using spell immunity?

I know that the ring of free action ignores all these effects, but I want to survive on my own spells.

You can protect yourself from Hold Person with Spell Immunity: Enchantment/Charm, from Web with SI: Evocation, and from Symbol: Stun with SI: Conjuration.

Long story short: you can't protect yourself from all immobilize spells with just one spell immunity. My tip: put your proud aside and equip that ring ;)

You can always equip the ring on the spot if you dont think its too much work.

Or use Keldorn's armor :)

Or the cleric spell "Free Action"... why does anybody wear thoses rings while you can cast a low-level cleric spell when you need it? :D

I prefer equipment-generated effects, myself. They can't be dispelled, and don't suddenly wear off or get forgotten during a big buff-fest. This is especially true with "free action". I hated the FoA when I suddenly slowed to a crawl, and couldn't catch opponants. I was tempted to revert to a saved game before Cespenar messed it up, but ended up item-swapping, just as I always did with the free action ring - using boots of speed/haste/imp. haste to catch opponants, then swapping to FoA if needed to cut through a skin, slow a magic-resistant critter, or what have you.
