Reflect

I'm just wandering... if you cast Heal Companion on Gaenor, what will happen? Not that it is really important, but I want to know if Reflect (or absorb and resist for that matter) blocks beneficial spells as well.

Also, does resist 100% affect Cast when Used items and CE enchantments?

1- No it doesnt stop beneficial spells. reflect only bounces harmful spells, or at least in my experience.

2- Again with enchantments on self it only stops the negative effect enchantments. EG the boots of blinding speed, you can resist magic 100 percent and see clear as day, but you still have the speed booster.

I've never played around with the reflect-spell so I don't know how it really works but what you say sounds kind of weird. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to say that you're wrong, only that the developers didn't keep to their own lore. There's a book in Morrowind which is about
Spoiler
an armie attacking a fort ( sort of) while being protected by the reflect-spell, because they feared that Battlemages would throw fireballs at them. Instead of Battlemages with fireballs arches shot their arrows at the armie which then couldn't be healed because the reflect-spell "blocked"/reflected the effect.

Now I am kind of suprised because in the game it's different. This definitely has to be changed....

you could bee 100% right... I have jsut always been able to use levitate even when i have the magic resistance, and have been able to heal compainion wearing curiass of savior's hide (i tested it with the guy in mournhold) but thats not 100 resistant... i have never tried to heal an enemy in battle... seeing as usually if he is good enough to have full reflect i want to kill him, why dont you go play with rieklings and see?

Hm...nice idea. But my level 2 monk can't even kill a nix-hound with his bare fists or staff right now. ;)

come on fable??? surely theres a mod to sort this out :p

i think you are right though, it does only block harmfull stuff. anyone else noticed that when wearing the boots of blinding speed you can still see very slightly? even though it is blind 100%?
