So what happens if you fix him? My character has no repair skills and I can't do anything to repair HK's memory currently. If I dump a bunch of points into repair and can fix HK some, what do I get? Just curious as he is rather entertaining, but I've heard he's not a necessary character after dealing with the Sand People.

he will auto upgrade sometime in the game... im not telling you why cuz it is a rather large spoiler :D

So is it worth it to spend the points on the repair skill and fix him? I'm already a level 12 or 13 total and won't get too many more chances to get these points or use them elsewhere.
all the times ive played ive found you have to be Ds
You don't have to be darkside to repair him. I did when I was lightside a while back.

I don't remember what you get when you repair him. What does he say (if you repair him before the... revelation)?

I mean you have to be Ds for him to fix himself.

No, you don't. My last game was played with pure lightside, and he fixed himself.

Not realy ... If you try to repair before this gamepoint (the revelation, so ...) you up HK 47 DEX+2, 2 Lifepoint every 6 sec. (I don't remember exactly).

The revelation only start the "assassin protocol", but not DEX and Lifepoint, I mean ...

No offense meant, but I'd like some evidence of this. Have you checked that out yourself, by comparing his stats in one game where you did repair him, and in another, where you simply let nature take its course?

the prima game guides has always claimed you have to fix him yourself before...you know...

really, fable, this is the first time i've heard from anyone that you don't have to fix him yourself... :(

maybe I should post in bioware forum, and let a dev answer it.. ;)

according to a moderator in the official bioware forum, you must fix him yourself, before...you know... :(

you only get the bonuses for fixing him before the auto repair. He will get + 4 dex among other very good bonuses. Fixing him can make him a very very competent support fighter.

better than carth or canderous...faster regen, and if you get really good droid plating in korriban, better protected...however, vulnerable to destroy droid series of powers, but has anyone ever experienced that in normal setting? i sure haven't... :p

meh...the only reason to repair would be for the XP, but if you aren't playing a character with high Repair, it's not worth pumping up your repair skill just to repair him...

Just make sure to talk to him all the time and ask him plenty of questions.

Has anybody tried to see whether there's a random variable involved in his repair--the sort of thing that means you could (or couldn't) repair him after trying three times in succession?

sort of...i have tried to repair him several times even though i did not have sufficient skill points...just to hear him whine.. :p :p :D

no random variable after 3-5 tries...

please note however, that force valor can temporarily increase your int enough to give you just enough bonuses to repair if you are just a few points short... :D

Hk-47

I was never convinced you needed your repair skill to fix HK-47. I just figured that, since he is an NPC like Canderous or Carth, that the higher the level of experience you got, the plot surrounding him would also evolve like it did for the other NPCs. Of course, I've never once tested this theory, so what do I know?

While repairing him, could we use repair parts? To boost our repair skill. And how much does Master valour grant to the skill anyway?

I knew HK-47 could repair four times
It needed repair skill 7,9,11,13.
HK-47 will update when repaired.
