a question

Right now I'm almost done with underdark, and I'm not sure if I can come back. I haven't visited all the places in underdark but there's alot of nice loot I would like to get, but I want to do them at a later time. So I would like to know if I can come back at a later time.

Yes, you are able to go back to almost all the places in the game, even the underwater city of sharks. You will be able to revisit the underdark at free will once your out of it.

i think once you leave the underdark, you are done with that area and cannot come back to it, but i may be wrong

You might be able to revisit the Underdark (I doubt it). You cannot revisit Brynlaw, Spellhold, Saughan City, etc.

If you have finished underdark, you can always go back there. I don't remember now (I played my last full game month ago) but from the world map you are also able to go to the Brynnlaw, sharks city ....
