Can you use the G.E.C.K

Post by The wanderer »

Ive always wondered can you actually use the G.E.C.K , I thought it may have been possable because in the Fallout 2 Vault-Tec Lab JOURNAL (owners manual comes with the game) in the back on APPENDIX 7: "The Big One" Pancake, there is a picture of a house with a man and a woman standing out on the footpath of a street.I have never seen the skins before or reconise this from any event in the game. Can anyone tell me if im onto anything or if they have had any Exp with the G.E.C.K Thanks.

I don't think the G.E.C.K actually does anything in the game, so you can't use it yourself, no.

Make sure you get the GECK before you go back and find the Village destroyed. After the guy talks to you, bring up your interact arrow and highlight the invetory option then use the GECK on him, you will clone him with the replicator and get a "holodisk" of his memories, talking to him now will just bring up the talking head (the non-dead one) and the option to say [okay...] use the holodisk on him in the same way as the GECK and he will be healed fully. You can now talk to him and hire him into your party as long as you have enough charisma (6 I think) and enough room in your party.

He can use knives, pistols and energy weapons (Except the gatling lazer for some reason). Unfortunately he calls the Power Armour "Hell armour" and refuses to wear it but he seems to handle pretty well with the armour and energy weapons I got from the Brotherhood Of Steel in San Fran.

I'm not sure what his starting hitpoints are but on mine he has around 160, he does quite a few strong criticals.

Hes not quite as good as Sulik or Cassidy though.

I think yeah, you CAN use the GECK in the game!

There is this last door in the Enclave Maze which u cannot open without A GECK (I said A, cuz there r actually two of them in the game), just use ur GECK on this door and sth. unexpected would happen...

It's useless but at least we can find some use for the kit after all..

you cannot use a GECK... it is just a necesary item to finish the game... that's it... a miscellaneous.... Found be foun though to be able to use it... At least after you finish the game... You come to a empty square, and use the geck, forming your own city. And new quests appear... cool...
