I searched for these words, and see that others have experienced weirdness at this point (the battle with Sendai), though not the same as mine:

OK, so Sendai's statues and Drow are toast, she appears in the middle and we clobber her. She disappears then reappears in the top left statue's position. We clobber her again, she falls down and disappears. Nothing happens. No dialogue saying Sendai: death, no experience gained. We wait, still nothing happens. We cast another True Seeing, but nothing is to be seen.

We rest, nothing happens. We go back to the pocket plane, rest, and return, and it's still the same. We get annoyed and stop playing the game.

Any suggestions or similar experiences? I've got an auto-save from entering the room but wondered if the same thing is likely to happen again.

Ummm..

Well, not that it's much help, but I had the same result, more or less, with the Wraith of wrath in Impr.Irenicus fight - the source of the hitch, I have no idea about, I'm afraid.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that when I zapped to the Pocket Plane, the next Challenge was open, so I assumed that Sendai was dead, nailed myself, zapped back to the real world, expecting to be able to exit the area, but found myself stuck in the same situation.

A solution would be to fart about with the game settinngs, I guess, but I have no idea how to do that (Mac user).

I guess I'll just have to reload and try it again.

Anyway, does this happen every time you start the battle over? Sendai should appear as many times as the number of the stautes, I guess. And then she appears in the middle, you kill her, and the battle is won. I guess you're taken to the pocket plane instantly to face the next challenge provided by the Solar.

Thanks. Boo's mummy had a hell of a time holding the camera steady. No opposable thumbs, you see. I would have used a booth but the seat doesn't wind up that far etc etc.

Well, I've been through it three times so far and the same thing happens: Sendai goes down, but there's no "Sendai: death" dialogue and I don't get teleported to the pocket plane. When I went there anyway the next challenge was open!

Will try it a few more times with an earlier save before coming back and asking for cheats, unless anyone has any suggestions..

So the challenge was open... But the Solar didn't appear and talk to you, right? What's in your journal? I think I'd just try to go on like this, though lacking the XPs given for killing Sendai may be a loss (don't know how much you'd get for it, unfortunately).
