Well I seem to have hit a game error. In Archastry or such with the red mages my characters just up and stopped following me and my commands. Now at first I thought I had changed the party to defense or something but I did not so now I have to move them one at a time and I keep dying because it doesn't work well.

I have the patch 1.1 so whats up? Just a game error?

I'll venture a guess: You have accidentally pressed some button that released all party members from your control? On each character picture, in the bottom right corner, is a small green light that can be turned on/off. If you turn it off, that member will not follow you nor take any actions to help you.
To turn it back on, either klick on the (absence of) light again, or click on the "regroup" shield in the bottom left side, or just reload our last save/autosave, and everyone should be following your orders again.
Of course, there may be other reasons for your problem. If this wasn't the cause, I'm afraid I don't know.

Thank you my friend I was unaware of the little green lights on them I must have hit it when switching between them some time.
