PLEASE can someone tell me how to use the pillars in the castle? I have the broken bits of mirror. I watch the chase camera sequence where Sable uses her pillar. I went to one of them, and click on "Use". Sable turned from being a strong Shield Guardian tyoe figure back to human form (so I thought I'd done something). I ran to another pillar and did the same thing, but all I got was a drop in all my stats (which I assume is because someone hit me with something). Then I died really quickly. I had realised last night that I might need to double click on the pillars? I'm away for the weekend though, so I can't test the theory.
Please can someone put me out of my misery? I've got a 20th level Ranger, 1st level CoT and he dies in this battle.

not sure how to use the pillars....but...
I think (and this might be personal bias talking) being a ranger is your problem....try being 20+ level in dwarven defender, cleric, or wizard...
dwarven defender: just take your axe of the dwarf lord and wade into the middle of them and watch drow blood splatter everywhere....
cleric: make sure that valen and nathyra are both wearing hasted items....stand back, cast Gate (after casting protection from evil of course), and once again, watch drow blood decorate the ceiling...
wizard: activate your improved robes of sequencing (forget the exact name of the robe...point is BUFF)....cast time stop....unleash holy bloody hell while your enemies stand there frozen and slack jawed....and again, the geysers of drow blood thing....

If I recall correct - you need to use the shards of the mirror and then you can click on a pillar. I think - try right clicking the shards and see if there is a "use" fuction.
The pillars give different abilities, I remember one giving out a TimeStop, and another transforming me to a Golem type thingy for a short while.

OK, will try both, but will start with using shards. There must be a way for a Ranger to get through, I think, there's usually something specific for each class. I know Sabal got to use the Golem one.......

Put all of your mirror shards in your quickslots. Then run over to a pillar, click on the shard, then click on the pillar. A ray of some kind should appear between you and the pillar. Woila! Sabal's toast. I'm a 13 lvl rouge, 6 lvl fighter and soon to be weapon master and did fine, so your Ranger should be more than capable of winning the battle. Hope this helps!

I tried that, but it will only allow me to put in my quick slots after The Fool has told us how to use them! However, I have now got used to using the space bar. I clicked on the "Use" part on the mirror shard, and then clicked on a couple of pillars. I got Sabal's followers trapped but then tried to attack Sabal. My character got "Stuck" on the the swords coming out of the ground and then couldn't run anywhere useful to stop getting thwacked. He died.
I will try again when I can get up the heart! And when I've stopped having fun with my Cleric

. Thanks for the help.

If I'm not misstaken there's one pillar that will spawn out three or four mirror images of yourself. I think it's called "Pillar of mirroring" or some such. When I played I just rushed to the pillars and activated them. I got 5 of them while Sabal only managed to get to one

Sucker... So concentrate on the pillars and lett your henchmen(Assuming you HAVE one) deal with the Sabals cohorts

I have a bear.
Think I'll try that mirroring one, sounds great.
