More questions on BlackGuard.

Post by hero »

I have tried a rogue/fighter/bg combo....lv 2/6/7. It wasn't outstanding enough since it was just a fighter with turn and summon ablity.

than i tried the rogue/pally/bg combo....lv 2/5/8. didn't turn out well, probably cause i didn't plan the character well.

my starting stats:

str:16
dex:10
con:14
wis:12
int:10
cha:14

is there anything i need to change? and what stat should i rise?

since my first job is rogue, i have lots of skill points to spend..what should i spend them on, the skillz i took r lore, persuade, hide...than i saved 4 for later on use for displine....but dat still leaves lots of points behind...should i put some skillz into hide(besides the 5 require to become the black guard)and move silently, and put some in to spot and listen? or even use of magic device?

after taking 1 lvl of rogue, i took soem lvls in pally. the question is how many pally lvl should i take, since i won't go back to be a lawful good.

my last queston is: is there any more special skillz my blackguard can learn after lvl 10?

Rogue/Pally/Blackguard = BAD because of difficult stat distribution and feats.

The best pally/blackguards concentrate on CHA, but if you go rogue then thats not really an option.

but i am just using to boost hide and have some extra skill points to spend...rougue really isn't an important part.

Why you want add for your rogue builds BG? BG is good for utilizing CHA bonus into saves. if you desire to play rogue-type character, try next pseudo-thief :
Bard/rdd/BG. or just Bard/fighter/BG. for bard you can put good amount of stat-points into CHA and wear items with CHA improvement,so BG will bring such bonus as universal save. :) also you'll injoy 90% of rogue abilities + you can cast some cool bardic spells and sing songs, that noone can dispel.

Well, Bard/RDD/BG > Bard/Fighter/BG, but then again Bard/RDD/Pally > Bard/RDD/BG. Of course, the best is still Sorc/Pally/BG.

it's strange how you are genering characters. i don`t have any ethical problem that no DMs will permit life of such mutants, but that building such char will requests multiple changes of aligment. bard's level can`t be naturaly taken with paladin's.

if you wanna play pally char ,then try pal/ChoT/monk, or Pal/ChoT/rogue. you'll need about 15 level of paladin to get all of his spells (Holy Avenger rocks on wizards). you can take monk up to 6 levels just for free knockdowns and maxing tumble skill ot 1-2 levels of rogue.

First of all, what does "genering" mean.

Secondly, alignment changes are very easy to achieve, with the exception of chaotic->lawful etc. And most level-up modules (for pvp) will give you alignment change options.

And my mistake, I meant Sorc/Pally/RDD (which is a melee build).

oopsi. i meant generating. pardon my english ;)
i personaly prefare to generate "clean" characters without aligment changes. last year i played on 6-8 servers and only on 1-2 of them i could change my aligment evil->good or good->evil. And some time that was hard and took time.

Well some of the best characters for pvp need alignment changes, plus I love playing fallen Pally/Blackguards.
