What other games have you played BG? NWN? if so and you like them you should get it.

The combat style is basically the same as BG 2, but the character creation is much more complex and interesting. The plot is average, nowhere near as good as BG 2, but there is a lot more combat. I enjoyed it, and for $10 ($20 for the set with ID 1 & Heart of Winter expansion) I would say it's definately worth buying if you're into RPG's based on AD&D.

Personally, i love it. If you love rpg and/or Bg, this is a must get!
If you have any questions that might tide you over, just post them.

LastMan, this is not a question! This is absolutely worth getting, such a fun, such a great adventure! (Er... are we talking about BG or IWD? I mean both, anyway

)
If you like long adventures, nice places and challanges, you should get it!

IWD2 is 2d game.. it uses 3D&D rules...(read manual it will help you)
You create party of minium 1 character and maxium 6. I think plot is better than in BG series.. but that is my point of view (in BG i alway quessed what will happen next.. wich tone done lot game play experience..(i didn't ques what will happen next in IWD1 and 2) But in IWD serie is basicly Hack&SLash game even that it has some roleplaying efects..
to find more info i would recomend taht you go to
http://www.google.com and type IWD2 review.. click shearch...

2d, as wrath said, but still nice to look at

I like the graphics very much.
Characters can be chosen from different classes, these are:
mage
sorcerer
cleric
druid
ranger
fighter
paladin
thief
barbarian
I hope I didn't miss anything...
The story starts in Targos, but you'll have to travel around, of course. The scenes are beautiful, the quests are good, I think, you'll need to use your wits sometimes
Imagine a winter land, forests and castles and fortresses, and a lot of fight and adventure
