Alright, i just made a party with wich i want to complete normal and HOF mode but i had a hard time deciding wich characters to take and am still not sure. In the end this came out:

1- drow dreadmaster of bane (14,10,16,10,18,12) uses long swords, 4 concentration
2-half-roc barbarian (20,14,18,6,10,6) uses great swords, 4 intimidate
3-shield dwarf fighter (16,10,20,10,10,10) uses axe+warhammer, 4 intimidate
4-human druid (12,12,14,10,18,10) uses maces, forester, 4wild. lore, 3 animal ampathy, 3 concentration
5-moon elf abjurer (10,14,14,18,10,10): uses quarterstaffs, 4 alchemy, 4 knowledge arcane, 4 concentration, 2 diplomacy, 4 spellcraft, combat casting, spell penetration
6-half-elf rogue (10,18,14,14,10,10) uses short swords, 4 on all thief skills

All characters are neutral aligned

Any advice on the party would be welcome and very much appreciated. (stats, skills, races, classes, anything)

Notes:
1-i dont dual- or multi-class
2-i dislike monks
3-i was also considering an entire party of mages, druids and clerics (in other words, all spellwielders) but would this become a problem without some muscle to back me up? I'm guessin no

give all characters or atleast spell casting characters point in improved iniative... symbol of stun is good spell... it worked with me realy well in HoF... but it seams that once again i am only one that has that spell working...

AFAIK Improved Initiative doens't work, so taking it would be a waste.

A party of spellwielders could do very well, because clerics and druids are potent fighters, especially when buffed.

Right now i'm thinking about a party consisting of 2 clerics, 2 specialised mages and a druid.(dont know about a 6th char)

If you have 2.01 patch... then it should work... and i have said this like thousand times.. just do before after test... 2 wizards casting fire balls in same trime.. other has improved iniative other does not... so after this you can be sure... and as for melee in BG1 there was this weapon attack speed... thing... it still works in IWD2 and improved iniative can give you one extra attack... lets say that you have weapon that has 6 as it's speed with that feat it will be 5.. and 10:5=2 so you get 2 attacks... in the long run with melee chars it only helps getting first attack faster..

Ok i went for the spellcaster party, and i love it, this is what i ended up with:

1-drow druid
2-aasimar morninglord
3-aasimar dreadmaster
4-thiefling necromancer
5-thiefling evoker
6-drow sorceress

Thnx for the input so far.

And who's gonna fight for you? :) I think you need at least one or two warriors - get paladins, if you're so keen on spellcasting (but don't expect much magic from them).

Why don't you create the most favourite character of all (or the two you like the most), and start with them, so that you'll see meanwhile what type of chars you need?

you can always give +1 warrior level...

er.. what do you mean? To add warrior levels to a spellcaster? Yeah, that's a way, but then I'll have to sacrifice a level of her spellcasting carreer, won't I?

Ah, when you're eager to gain that next level spell it may be much ;)
