most popular helmet

we've had a poll of armor..ill like to hear what helmet you all out there use for your main dude..i prefer the helm of balduran..5 hp bonus..and gives armor and save bonus..other helms migth give spells..like skull of death or helm of brillance....the only one i can see that come closest is the helmet of defence..another bg1 leftover

its merits are 20 res to cold, fire and electricity..but no armor or save bonus

if i recall correctly the helmet of defence actually have a +1 saving throw bonus .

Well since my guy is a kensai, I'm pretty much limited to the Ioun Stones. Either those or the quest helmet items like the Mask of King <something-or-other> III. I actually kind of like that mask because it resembles a samurai fire helm.

Does this mask does anything except to let you see the Guardian?

The Dragon gives 25 fire/cold/(acid or electrical, i'm not sure of that one) resistance which is nice. It doesn't make it the best helmet but it is useful.

The Mask does protect you from critical hits, that's about all it does.

Best Helmet: Helm of Balduran
Honorable Mention: Helm of Brilliance, Helmet of Defense, Helm of Charm Protection

Vailor's Helm would be the best if it worked.

Best Ioun Stone (ie, best helmet for monks and kensai): Pale Green (+10% hp and +1 Thac0) or Rose (+1 AC) Pale Green is best for monks, but I'm leaning towards Rose for my Kensai.

Agreeable Nighty....btw have u try the Death mask yet....i think that's its name...the item shaped like a skull or something
