!~What do you bear on your shoulders?~!

Post by lifeishell91 »

I just wanted to ask people what they carry with them,

I carry a set of unenchanted clothes, which I change once a week or so, 15 Restore Health potions, 15 Restore Magicka potions, 3 Cure Blight Disease potions, 3 Cure Common Disease potions, 6-10 Levitation potions, (home-made since casting levitate takes away lots of my Magicka) Fireblade of the Daedra (my own enchanted Daedric Dagger with 11pts fire damage on strike), Soul Drinker (a Daedric blade which I got as an reward with 30 secs Soultrap on Strike) Shoes and sometimes Torches.

EDIT: I am trying to train my light armour and block skill up so now I am carrying a Velothian sheild, Chintin Boots and Cuirass of Saviours hide, I wear a robe because the Cuirass of Saviours hide is, to me, ugly.

Does changing clothes make any difference? seems like a waste of money to me!! I go commando under my armour, which save on the weight also!!

I can't help filling my inventory with potions i will probably never use because I will forget about them in a fight or whatever.

I also have about 2 axes and 3 swords!!! cant seem to part with the really cool ones!

I would usualy carry my alcamy set, some grandmaster lockpics and some different probes, the skeloton key, the deadric cresant, sunder/keening (depending on what im doing) a few rings, asliips, moon and star, ring of wind, azuras ring, somtimes some clothes, a few random keys depending on where i've just been,if im using sunder or keening the wraithgaurd if not the fists of randalgulf (thats if im not using either weapon at the time) and the ingredients fo different potions, (i actually spent time memorising the helpfull potions, God im sad).
And lo ye must learn of the great war that raged fo a couple of posts and brought the citadel momentaraly to its knees
Lookie!

I wear clothes because I specialise in Unarmoured, meaning without clothes, I would be naked

It's called roleplaying.
To the Righteous belong the fruits of violent victory. The rest of us will have to settle for warm friends, warm lovers, and a wink from a quietly supportive universe.

And personal hygiene. I hate people running around in dirty smelly clothes soaking of sweat.

Ok jokes aside then, personally I carry around some probes, a few restore fatigue potions and azura's star. That's the only stuff that is 24/7/52 in my inventory. Clothes, armor and weapons I can live without. Have you ever felt the breeze against your bare skin while jumping from canton to canton in Vivec? It's really refreshing.

When wearing armor I usually try to hide it with a robe trying to hide what I'm wearing... You can never be sure what kind of people you will meet on the streets... They might try to steal my precioussss armor... What'sssss it got in itsssss pocketssss, precioussss? Sssstealing fingersss, preciousss...

I don't carry a whole lot... Just because I'm an explorer and I like picking things up during my travels, and I like to be swift and agile, so I don't like weighing myself down. Though, I end up carrying more than I would like.
Anyways, here we go:

Weapons: Umbra Sword, Deadric Bow, Dwarven Crossbow, Soul Drinker, 860 Iron Arrows, 90 Iron Bolts, 200 Silver Arrows, 200 Silver Bolts, 106 Silver Darts, 100 Silver Throwing Stars.

Apparel: Cuirass of the Savior's Hide, Amulet of Slowfalling, Belt of Charisma, Extravagant Shoes (the blue ones :p ), Redas Robe of Deeds, Ring of Blinding Light (self enchanted), Ring of Sanguine Silver Wisdom, Boots of Blinding Speed.

Magic: I have nothing in here that I haven't already mentioned. (Magic swords, clothes, etc...)

Miscellaneous: The Pilgrim's Path, 3 Common Soul Gems, 1 Greater Soul Gem, 25 Lesser Soul Gems, 4 Petty Soul Gems, 83k Gold Septims.

There you have it. This is what I always carry around, and it all only weighs 260 lbs. (310 lbs. without the Redas Robe of Deeds). I guess 260 is a bit on the heavier side, but my guy can carry 500 lbs. and he doesn't need to be able to jump that far. For fun, lots of times I drop everything and just enjoy jumping, because when I'm not weighted down, my character jumps like he's got a Tinur's Hoptoad spell on him. :p But I like to keep my inventory very open, and limited, because, like I said before, I explore a lot and like collecting things, so I have to keep some space available for that. When I get overencumbered, I just cast my Recall spell and go back home to my lovely Manor in Balmora. :) Then I unload, and finish whatever quest I was on. Hehe. In caves and such, I put everything that I find in there in a big pile, then I pick it all up, and by then I'm carrying usually about 600-700 lbs. Then I just Recall home and drop everything on the floor and it goes to my Overflow Loot Bag that's sitting conveniently on the table in Hlaalo Manor. Then, since I can now move around, I sort all the stuff into it's proper bag/house/table. :D
I'm an xboxer.

Ever tried going as an unarmored monk with short blade & strong magic powers? I would walk around with 50 lbs. or less on me, mainly a sword, some enchanted clothes, a few restore magicka/health potions and a probe. With that, you're covered! :-)

With my new Dunmer character I have some basic equipment that experience distates I keep.

Cure Poison and Cure Paralyzation potions, at least one of each. Cheap potions of Levitation, Fire Shield, and Restorations may be heavy, but they have their uses.

I always have at least two weapons on hand - Icicle (Long sword) and some sort of quarterstaff. I also have a katana, thanks the the Assassin's Armory mod.

I always change clothes, usually robes. I jump from expensive to common garments, simply deciding which looks better.

Most importantly, I keep a second set of minor armor (Bracers, pauldrons, ect) instead of lugging around Armorer's Hammers that my Spellsword can't use efficiently.
