Anyone see the Trailor for KOTORII. Maybe its just me, but the graphics looked pretty crappy, Hard to tell, because it is just a movie, but the trailor for Doom3 and Half-Life 2 look pretty awesome. Just wondering if this new company will be able to make #2 and nice as the original...

Never check a game by its PR campaign (including its list of features and "firsts") or its trailer. Judge it by the game. ;)

I agree, but most time these companies put out something that makes the game look good, I was just really surprised that the graphics looked kind of grainy, maybe it was for the XBox....

I saw the trailer and thought it looked great. The first game was not known for it's detailed graphics, rather it's amazing game play. The game was spent most of the time indoors or in enclosed areas. Besides, every gamer knows background and smooth transitions and such don't get ironed out 'til the game is near complete.

P.S. Don't knock the XBox, Hater!!

I never saw the trailer but maybe it has something to do with your "love" for Bastilla and that it was forbidden or something.

Yeah don't judge the game by its graphics, especially at this stage. And I don't think it was a "lets all hate the XBox" comment, just pointing out that the graphics are limited.

I'm looking forward to KotOR II, and hope it will have a better (and slightly more original) storyline with better execution than the first. If it is slightly more challenging, than fair enough, but I think the game is more about role-playing a character in the Star Wars universe. I know the role-playing system isn't the best, but it doesn't stop you getting into character at all.

As for the two titles you mentioned, I have been stunned by the pictures I have seen of them. Yet neither, Doom 3 especially, has managed to get me excited in any way. I mean, the Doom series was impressive, and was a big step forward, but I think games have moved on and Doom's legacy and reputation should have been left intact. Having not played it I cannot really comment, but the way it looks is that the game is all about "impressiveness" and not particularly story and gameplay. I will have to check that out.

I was also very impressed with some of what HL2 was showing, particularly the facial expressions demo that was released. Very nice stuff. But I'm really not that bothered about the game itself. ESPECIALLY with all the various ups and downs of the HL2 saga, which I don't think has done it any favours.

I personally enjoyed the trailer...Now I have to agree with you that the graphics didn't look superior compared to other games I've played, but I wouldn't judge it yet until it's all finished, they haven't perfected the game yet, including the graphics, but they're using the same engine so the graphics will be relatively the same as KotOR #1. The first one wasn't really about graphics as one of the ppl said above it was more about storyline and great gameplay. And I enjoyed it immensely. I personally would rather have an awesome storyline and gameplay with pretty good graphics, then awesome graphics and a crappy storyline(personal opinion).
