I need help with playhouse

I just finished clearing out the barbarians and went up to the main floor and talked to higgold, when I talked to him i got experience and everything as normal. Then he told me about dress rehearsals, so I rest at the five flagons inn for a day. Meck told me to come to the rehearsal, then I saw higgold still on the main floor, so i left and came back. he was still there, so I tried talking to him. He said let's go see it, then my party teleported over near the door (that leads to the streets)and we just sat there in a one of those sequences where you have no control, so I waited and waited and waited...Any idea what might be wrong?
