The way I roleplay the situation at the mansion in the Govt. District I always end up fighting 2 VERY powerful mages. Anyone have any tips on vanquishing these two very formidable foes?
I can get both of them down to Badly Injured then one of them always summons an Efreet or something nasty. They have too many protections, and when I get near them it is always Time Stop -> Symbol of Fear/Death/Stun or Maze. I can tank most of their high level spells with summoned pets.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When having problems with one of the battles, try GameBanshee's battle tactics.

Anyhow, Mages can be tough if you're not prepared in advance. Be ready for powerful defenses, and although it depends on your playing style there are general guidelines, either a powerful Dispel Magic (Keldorn's, mostly) or another Mage with the ability to dispel illusions, allowing you to use spells such as Pierce Magic or Breach. The ability to dispel illusions is very important, as the AI likes using spells like Improved Invisibility and Mislead, not allowing you to target him with direct removal spells (though Dispel still works).

Another sleazy cheesy way is to wait for him to cast his defensive spells and then run away. After a few moments the spells will run off, and you can get back inside and pound him a little. If he casts more spells, repeat the procedure.
