Well I broke down and bought an X-Box mainly for Fable and Thief, and I thought I'd pick up KOTOR while I wait for Fable. I've put in just over 5 hours and I'm shocked. I love the battle system, 3E dnd inspired skills/feats, the actual role play aspect, and I even like the view. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about playing an rpg in 3rd person but it's great. I'm definately gonna play through this one unspoiled, and then go back and see what I missed. Some strange british guy that was covered in paint came up to me in the shop where I bought it and was like don't level up until Datooine because you'll get your max Jedi levels. I really could care less, and what am I supposed to do until then. Go barely making it through battles and living off medipacks? Needless to say my Scout's at level 4 and doing pretty good for himself. Why I waivered when thinking of getting this system/game I'll never now.

I was exactly like that - first RPG I've ever played. In fact, I've only played through this and Neverwinter Nights, and they're my two favourite games!

Only slight problem is the story (in parts). Especially after playing through NWN, its just starting to become apparent that the story is a bit typical. Still very very good though.

More of a PC fan myself, don't like control pads unless I'm drunk with freinds
